Best family video games to play in a party (Part 1)

In the past, if you liked to play a game with your friends, you’d have to call them to your house, gather around the TV and set up on the console. This was common by the time you own a Nintendo 64 with controllers to serve four people which was a great combination with crisps and fizzy drinks to some interesting gaming sessions.

Then online gaming became more prevalent, gamers become an argumentative and competitive bunch. Just talk anybody who was forced into playing a Halo pistol duel to witness who was the most skilled. But despite all the conflicts, we’ve still be able to keep a sense of community throughout the years. In this post, there is a list of family-friendly games for you to enjoy at a party for multiplayer fun with your family or friends for happy holidays together.

1. Overcooked

Overcooked is available on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One as well as Nintendo Switch version. Overcooked is a multiplayer games you can play with your mates in which four players control chefs who go around a kitchen and prepare food. It sounds fairly simple but deceptively difficult as the levels increase with new obstacles force players to cooperate to get the high score. The game is highly recommended as it’s an addictive cooperative game that can be played by anyone.

2. Lego Dimensions

Lego Dimensions is available on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, as well as the Wii U. If you’ve played any of the other Lego games, then you’ll understand exactly what attracts you to Lego Dimensions, as its composition is very similar to the other Lego games. If you’ve never played any of them before, then you will play as a Lego character, with a partner either online or sitting next to you, together you beat up bad guys, solve puzzles, and build lots of Lego designs.
